What's it All About?

Are you interested in engaging your students in robust projects with impact beyond the classroom? Have you been wanting to implement global project-based learning (PBL) but not sure how to go about it? Are you looking to enhance your global PBL teaching practices? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then this workshop is for you! Global PBL supports the development of critical 21st Century Skills, while increasing student engagement and motivation to make a difference in the world. In this engaging workshop, teachers will be introduced to the “what”, “why”, and essential elements of global PBL as they build their own competence in applying effective PBL teaching practices. After exploring example global projects, teachers will identify where global project-based learning might fit within their curriculum and initiate an individual PBL project plan.

  • Explain the “what” and “why” of global project-based learning
  • Explain the essential elements of high-quality global project-based learning
  • Apply teaching practices for effective global project-based learning
  • Identify opportunities for global project-based learning within their curriculum and initiate a PBL project plan
