How to Become a Global Educator: Teaching for Today’s World

Length: 90 minutes

Participants: Open to all educators and schools/districts.

What's it All About?

Global education — it’s quite the education buzzword, but what does it actually mean? How should teachers and other education practitioners go about meeting the current moment and becoming global educators? In this interactive workshop, educators will be introduced to the “what” and “why” of global education and global competence, and explore the dispositions, knowledge, and skills needed to be a competent global educator. In order to achieve this, educators will learn to look inward as individuals, identifying personal global competence strengths and areas of improvement, as well as create an action plan for individual growth as a global educator.
