Pre-Conference Master Trainer Seminar, July 16-17, 2011

A Master Trainer Seminar will be held for lead teachers participating in the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Arts sponsored BRIDGE program prior to the iEARN Conference in Taiwan. Participating teachers are from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Palestinian Authority, United Arab Emirates and the United States.  The mission of the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art is to promote the study and understanding of Islamic arts and cultures.

Achieving Global Competence through iEARN Workshop in Dubai

An "Achieving Global Competence through iEARN" workshop was held for 45 educators from the Al Ameen Private School in Dubai, UAE on 23 April 2011. The educators were introduced to iEARN and collaborative project based learning, learned how to use iEARN's Collaboration Centre, and identified projects that could be used in their classrooms.

The workshop was led by Basma Musamih of iEARN-UAE and Rustin Crandall of iEARN-USA. This workshop was made possible by the support of the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic and Al Ameen Private School. The mission of the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art is to promote the study and understanding of Islamic arts and cultures.

iEARN exhibitions at annual conference in East Jerusalem

Students and teachers from 40 schools presented their projects at the annual local conference on May 16th 2010. Around 100 students shared their work in projects like Art Miles, Adobe Youth Voices and My Identity, Your Identity with teachers, principals and guests. The conference was supported by the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art. The mission of the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art is to promote the study and understanding of Islamic arts and cultures.
