On February 14th, eight U.S. students (and one Resident Director) completed their pre-departure orientation at the iEARN-USA offices and set off for a semester of Arabic language study in Rabat, Morocco as part of the National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y). 

NSLI-Y is made possible through funding from the Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.  As program partner, iEARN is administering programs in Korea, Morocco, India, and China. 

NSLI-Y offers full scholarships to U.S. high school students to study abroad and learn Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Hindi, Korean, Russian, and Turkish.   For more information on the NSLI-Y program and to apply, please visit www.NSLIforyouth.org.
