Special Place Project

Good1

In IEARN’s Special Place Project, student from all over the world between the ages of five to eighteen share places that carry importance to their lives. Through sharing, students are given the unique ability to view into the lives of children that are in their similar age groups, but from drastically different cultural backgrounds.  Thus the project provides a great opportunity for young minds to learn about the diverse world around them. In addition, the project acts as a springboard for promoting advocacy for the preservation of the great places people share. It is hoped that, in thinking about our own special places, reading about other students' special places, and taking action to preserve such places, we will strengthen our commitment to preserving our fragile Mother Earth.
