iEARN-USA is Hiring Resident Directors for Summer 2018

20170621 Arrival In Hk

Can you speak Chinese, Hindi, or Korean? Do you want to spend the summer working with talented, highly motivated youth? Do you want to contribute to actualizing iEARN’s vision of creating a more peaceful, interconnected and just world? iEARN-USA is currently searching for qualified Resident Directors to work in China, India, and South Korea on the NSLI-Y Program.

The National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, provides merit-based scholarships for eligible high school students and recent high school graduates to learn less commonly taught languages in summer and academic-year overseas immersion programs. The languages include Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), Hindi, Korean, Persian (Tajiki), Russian, and Turkish.

iEARN-USA has been implementing the NSLI-Y program since 2009. With its focus on international collaboration and citizen diplomacy, the NSLI-Y program is a natural progression of iEARN’s core work. The NSLI-Y program inspires its participants to a lifelong commitment to global citizenship and language learning.

Resident Directors have a unique opportunity to travel abroad and gain hands-on experience in the global education field.
