Exchange20Guide1

On Wednesday, July 27, 2011, iEARN alumni and teachers shared their experiences with technology-enabled international exchange on a series of panels at the U.S. Department of State organized Exchange 2.0 Meetup following the UN High Level Meeting on Youth in New York City.  Other participating organizations included the Global Nomads Group and Soliya.

iEARN participants emphasized the value of international exchange to motivate students and launch discussion and inquiry in the classroom, the importance of helping students to take action with their learning, and the value of having young people engaged in projects with real peers working on issues that matter to them.  Among the projects highlighted was the Our Rivers, Our World Project.
