As part of the Christopher Stevens Youth Network: Global Connections 2.0 program, iEARN-USA is offering additional online course scholarships to U.S. high school teachers to connect with educators in the Middle East and North Africa and collaborate on projects that address global issues.

In Global Connections 2.0, schools, teachers, and students in 20 countries will work together on 8 global themes (environment, civic education, entrepreneurship, girls empowerment, peace education, health, food security, and literacy) to answer the question “how will this project improve the quality of life on the planet?”

iEARN-USA  is offering scholarships for online courses and other professional development opportunities to high school teachers interested in engaging students in cross-cultural dialogue and global project work. Teachers who participate in the online course and conduct an iEARN project with their class will be eligible for a scholarship to attend iEARN’s annual conference in Doha, Qatar in July 2013.

Please contact Jennifer Russell at [email protected] for more information on how to participate in the program. Course registration ends February 1, 2013.
