121 Students Join NSLI-Y Summer and Year Programs

iEARN-USA and iEARN country partners welcome over 100 new participants for the National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) scholarship program. The NSLI-Y program, funded by the U.S. Department of State, awards scholarships to high school students for overseas language immersion programs. This year’s summer scholarship recipients include:

  • 20 students for the Hindi language program in Pune, India
  • 15 students for the Arabic language program in Rabat, Morocco
  • 20 students for the Chinese language program in Zhuhai, China
  • 50 students for the Korean language program in Seoul, South Korea

NSLI-Y summer students will attend an orientation in New York and depart for their six week language program at the end of June. 

Other scholarship winners include 5 students for the Chinese language academic year program in Taiwan and 11 students for the Korean language academic year program in South Korea.
