Teaching with the Global Goals: Connecting the SDG’s to Your Classroom

What's it All About?

Do you want your students to understand and take action towards ending poverty, protecting the planet, and ensuring peace and prosperity for all? The U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are an international call for action to improve our world and are the perfect framework for incorporating global competence in curriculum and lesson plans. In this engaging workshop, teachers will be introduced to the “what” and “why” of the Global Goals as well as build their own competence as they determine which SDGs are meaningfully connected to their instruction and learn how to integrate the Global Goals across grade levels and subjects. 

What You'll Learn

By completing this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the “what” and “why” of the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals
  • Identify which Global Goals are connected to their instruction
  • Apply tips and strategies for integrating the Global Goals into their curriculum and lesson plans
