Imagine having the opportunity to travel to Morocco as a high school senior, along with your fellow students and teachers, to meet your Moroccan peers with whom you had talked with on video conference every two weeks for the past year. In the spring of 2019, 24 high school seniors accompanied by four of their teachers from Ithaca High School in Ithaca, NY, a small city in upstate New York, took such a trip as a culminating event following their virtual exchange experience participating in iEARN’s “My Identity, Your Identity†project.

Our Spring 2019 iEARN Online Educator Course, Introduction to Online Collaboration and Global Projects, has come to an end. A total of 27 teachers from 16 countries successfully completed the course. They were from Albania, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ghana, Honduras, Paraguay, Philippines, Morocco, Sierra Leone, South Korea, Tunisia, Uganda, United States, and Uruguay. The teachers were split into two course sections led by experienced iEARN facilitators from Brazil and the United States.
On Thursday, June 20th, 1pm EDT, we are hosting an iEARN-USA Introductory webinar, for school and district leaders and educators interested in learning more about iEARN global education programming.
