During February and March, over 120 global educators from 11 countries came together to engage in online professional development for the BRIDGE Program, supported by the Stevens Initiative. During the online course, participants collaborated with others educators from the Middle East, North Africa, and the United States.

Fundamentally, the Earth Stewardship Project, as part of the iEARN Bridge Program, provides educators with a truly unique opportunity to involve students in investigative and problem-solving challenges, while helping them develop their cognitive abilities to effectively communicate and collaborate with peers from across the world. This process involves students conducting inquiry into unknown areas of science and it provides the challenge to critically assess scientific findings while determining the validity of results.

On January 17th, 2017 NSLI-Y Interactive will host a virtual event featuring three National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) students on the academic year program in Rabat, Morocco.

iEARN-USA is accepting submissions for the new Teachers’ Guide to Global, Collaborative Teaching and Learning, an initiative supported by the Longview Foundation.
I have never participated in an activity like this before. iEARN enables youth to learn with, rather than simply about the world, through interactive curriculum-based groups which students are creating, researching, sharing opinion and becoming global citizen. There are modules to help me plan and develop project experience for students.

Global Collaborative is so important as it’s the one opportunity that let students and educators work together on projects involving discovery, reflection, and presentation. It teaches me to try and try to communicate across time and language barriers. Collaborating makes the world closer as a goggle-box though the far distance between people.
