As part of iEARN administered the program, students in Oman receive training in independent multimedia journalism, mentoring from local journalists, and the opportunity to complete a summer internship with local news agencies.

This year, thirty students from the Oman High School Journalism program completed summer internships with news agency's around the country. Participating news agency’s included: Al Watan, Al Roya, Al Shabiba, Al Zaman, and Oman Daily News. In addition, the MEPI High School Journalism program in Oman received significant support from the Oman Ministry of Education, Omani Journalism Association, and the Al Bayan Journalism College.

Through internships, students trained under experienced journalists, learned valuable lessons in communication, broadcasting, film, video and photography, and received certificates acknowledging their achievements. The experience was particularly exciting for one student who was offered one full scholarship to study journalism at Al Bayan Journalism College!
