Folk Tales/Storytelling: Past and Present is an iEARN project that aims to encourage students between the ages of five and eighteen to read folktales from their heritage and afterwards, have students of different cultures exchange stories with each other. This project makes sure to take full advantage of the technology available to them by sharing stories with the global community through Skype, the Collaboration Center, and digital media presentations as well as more traditional methods of storytelling such as simply sitting in a circle and listening to each other, drawings, and acting. Folk Tales/Storytelling hopes to engage students in exploring their own cultures and traditions while also learning about and understanding the cultures of others from around the world.
