In July, 11 students and 5 teachers from Boston Public Schools will travel to Mongolia as part of the US-Mongolia Emerging Youth Leaders program. The program, initiated by the U.S. State Department and administered by iEARN, features hands-on journalism training, community action projects, and reciprocal exchanges between the US and Mongolia.

In preparation for the first exchange, partnering organization, United Planet completed a successful Pre-Departure Orientation for participating students and teachers. The program prepared students for the exciting experience and proved to be very informative and fun! During the training, students had the opportunity to create short videos introducing themselves to their Mongolian host families. They all learned a little bit of Mongolian especially for the clip!
