Melissa Rowker

Director of Global Education

Melissa Rowker joined iEARN-USA in May 2023 as the Director of Global Education. In this role, Melissa leads the iEARN-USA K-12 Education Team in developing and implementing virtual exchange experiences for iEARN students worldwide. She is a member of the iEARN International Project Committee collaborating with iEARN leaders worldwise to vet projects for inclusion in the iEARN network. Melissa is a member of the iEARN-USA Senior Leadership team.

Melissa brings years of experience in K-12 educational policy and practice to her role at iARN-USA. Before joining iEARN-USA, Melissa led the Education Department at YouthBuild USA, working with YouthBuild programs across the United States and around the world to support opportunity youth as they earned secondary and workforce credentials. She also led the National Academic Program Department for City Year a national Americorps program working in suburban school districts across the country to develop academic support systems for K-12 students.

Melissa earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Florida and an M.Ed. in Educational Policy and Management from Harvard University.

She resides in Central Florida.
