Congratulations to iEARN-USA’s intern, Diogene Artilles (right), for being awarded a full QuestBridge scholarship to attend Columbia University! As an iEARN-USA participant on the NSLI-Y (National Security Language Initiative for Youth) program in South Korea, Dio studied Korean language for around six weeks during the summer of 2017.
“After returning from my summer in Korea, I searched for ways through which I could continue my journey with iEARN and the State Department. After beginning my internship, I knew that this would be the perfect way to keep my amazing memories alive while giving back to the organization that provided so much to me while I was abroad. I edited videos, created digital art, and published blog posts, all while being surrounded by a group of people who love what they do; the experience was invaluable. I am ecstatic that my future school will be only a couple of blocks away from the iEARN office! I will be sure to keep a strong bond with this great network of people.†– Diogene Artilles
Dio will be completing his internship with iEARN-USA at the end of the school year. We look forward to hearing about all of Diogene’s accomplishments that have yet to come.
