iEARN at Innovative Education Forum 2011 in Redmond, Seattle

Over 70 educators attended the workshop session by Mourad Benali, iEARN-Morocco Coordinator, as part of Microsoft Partners in Learning Forum.

Presented by Microsoft Partners in Learning, the U.S. Innovative Education Forum celebrates outstanding school leaders for using technology in their classroom curriculum to enhance positive learning outcomes while increasing student engagement and success. Teachers who apply to attend the U.S. IEF are evaluated based on the learning philosophy and goals of their project submission, their use of technology in the project, and their ability to demonstrate examples of student work and achievement connected with the project.

iEARN-Morocco (MEARN) is a registered NGO in Morocco, and is working with a network of schools throughout the country. Project work is in Arabic, French and English. iEARN-Morocco (MEARN) Coordinator Mourad Benali is a member of Africa SchoolNet and has published articles on iEARN project work and ICTs in his country. iEARN-Morocco (MEARN) undertakes teacher training workshops and facilitates exchanges of students and teachers. iEARN-Morocco hosted the 2009 iEARN International Conference and Youth Summit in Ifrane.
