Membership FAQ
What age group are your programs designed for?
iEARN virtual projects are designed for K-12 students, while our study abroad programs are for high school students and those taking a gap year before college.
What types of projects do you have?
There are over 50 iEARN projects in iEARN, spanning all subject areas and each aligned with at least one of the United Nationsā Sustainable Development Goals. Explore our projects in the iEARN Project Book.
Do you have projects in other languages?
Yes, there are iEARN projects in multiple languages. Feel free to reach out to [email protected] to learn more.
Do I have to be a member to do iEARN projects?
Yes, educators must be either individual members of iEARN or members through their schoolās/districtās membership in order to engage their students in iEARN projects.
How do I get started with iEARN projects?
Once you join us, our New Member Road Map will guide you through our projects and platform. We are here to support your every step of the way!
How long does it take to complete an iEARN project?
There are over 50 iEARN projects with different time commitments. Some take as little as a couple of class periods while others are designed as semester units.Ā
Can your projects be accessed via mobile device, laptop, and tablet?
Yes, projects are housed in our Collaboration Centre, which can be accessed on any device using the information we provide upon registration.
Is your online platform safe and secure to use?
Yes, our encrypted Collaboration Centre is private, for participants only.
What is the cost to participate in your programs?
Due to the generosity of our funding partners, we are able to offer iEARN-USA projects at a nominal charge of $250 per classroom (limit 35 students).

Are there any scholarships or discounts available?

Our goal is to include as many global youth as possible regardless of finances.

iEARN-USA is proud to be an implementing organization for several study abroad programs, including the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) programs and the National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) that are funded and supported by the United States Department of State Educational and Cultural Affairs Bureau.
