Laura has been an educator for over 25 years, teaching elementary and middle school students, and a Global Education Ambassador since 2014. She served as a BRIDGE project facilitator, working with an educator from Algeria to help connect classes and teachers from the United States and the MENA region of the world. Laura began her work with iEARN in 2009 and since then her students have connected globally through their participation in various iEARN projects. Laura integrates iEARN projects in the curriculum, teaching the skills students are expected to master, while at the same time giving students the opportunity to authentically connect and learn more about the world. She has shared strategies for the integration of these projects at numerous iEARN conferences as well as other conferences. Laura has attended the iEARN International Conference and Youth Summit in Canada, Taiwan, Brazil, Morocco and the United States. Meeting educators from other countries at these conferences has been a life-changing experience for her.
