Chris Baer has taught photography, technology, and design at the Martha's Vineyard Regional High School full-time since 1995, and has been an iEARN member since 2006. He currently co-facilitates iEARN's "Alternate Reality" and "360 VR Cultural Exchange" projects, and is a former facilitator (and current participant) of iEARN's "One Day in the Life" project. He was a 2011 NEA Foundation Learning and Leadership grantee for his professional development project, "Teacher-to-Teacher," bringing educators together from around the world to share best practices and collaborative innovation. National Geographic named him "Geo-Educator of the Week" in 2014. He has authored articles for MASCD, Edutopia, the Washington Times, and many local journals and magazines. He has also written a book, "Martha's Vineyard Tales" (Globe Pequot, 2018).
