What We Offer: Virtual Exchanges
Collaborative Classroom Projects
Connect your classroom with other classrooms across the globe to work on projects that fit your curriculum and help make the world a better place.
Educator Training and Resources
iEARN USA provides resources and self-paced professional development to support educators as they integrate virtual exchanges into their classrooms and prepare their students for cross-cultural learning experiences.
What We Offer: Study Abroad
Study abroad programs offer invaluable experiences that extend far beyond academic learning. Immersing oneself in a different culture fosters a deeper understanding of global perspectives, enhances language skills, and promotes adaptability and independence. Students gain firsthand exposure to diverse customs, traditions, and ways of thinking, which enriches their personal growth and broadens their worldviews. This cultural immersion also boosts academic
success and employability, as employers highly value the adaptability, problem-solving skills, and international insight that come from navigating new environments. Overall, study abroad programs cultivate a more nuanced, empathetic, and globally-minded individual, equipping them with skills and experiences that benefit their personal, academic, and professional lives.
iEARN-USA implements two cultural exchange programs funded by the Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
NSLI-Y
The National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, provides merit-based scholarships for eligible high school aged students to learn less commonly taught languages in summer and academic-year overseas immersion programs.
Kennedy-Lugar YES
The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program, funded by the U.S. Department of State, provides scholarships for secondary school students from countries with significant Muslim populations to spend one academic year in the United States.
