The High School Journalism Education Program supports Gulf school students to develop critical thinking, analytic, and practical job skills for future careers in communications, journalism, education and technology.

The program aims to deepen and expand classroom activities that teach youth how to collaboratively explore, research, edit, analyze, and report on local, national, and international issues through its multilingual, technology-supported resources and tools. As part of their participation in the program, students have the opportunity to become certified World Youth News reporters.

The High School Journalism Education Program is made possible by the Department of State Bureau for Near Eastern Affairs Office of Middle East Partnership Initiatives (MEPI). and the US Embassy in Kuwait. The program is administered by iEARN-USA, in partnership with ICFJ (International Center for Journalists) and local media news outlets.
