Beauty of the Beasts. A celebration of nature through the eyes of elementary students from around the world. "Beauty of the Beasts" is a global project inviting children to capture the grandeur and magnificence of animals indigenous to their areas through original artwork and poetry. The students' work will be compiled into a worldwide exhibit, and displayed at numerous galleries throughout the United States, the American Museum of Natural History, May, 2004, the iEARN Annual Conference. Selected works will also be displayed in a global online gallery
Side By Side celebrates the unique individuality of each of your students through art as they produce elongated self-portraits on paper approximately 8 x 36 inches. This is a terrific way to start your school year because you will get to know a lot about your students as they create self-portraits that include symbols about their past, present, and future. After your class has created self-portraits, hang them all side by side to represent the way that many individuals can come together to create a better world. We invite you to send a selection of up to 10 portraits to our international collection, which will be displayed at several locations throughout the year. These sites will include Miami, Florida, the YouthCan 2002 meeting in New York City, and the iEARN annual conference 2002 in Moscow, Russia. Selected works will be displayed on a global online gallery . Poetry and or paragraphs can be included with artwork.
