Interested in empowering your students to help end world hunger? You'd be amazed at the difference one class can make! In this informal webinar discussion with project faciliatators, Larry Levine and Maria Conte, participants were introduced to Kids Can Make A Difference (KIDS), an innovative educational program that for 19 years has helped students understand the root causes of hunger and poverty and how they - as individuals - can take action. Larry and Maria provided tips on how to get started with this project, and answer all your questions. Appropriate for teachers of grades K-12. View recording.
Back to School! Plan Your Year with iEARN Projects
A session on getting started with Global Collaboration. Veteran teachers shared some of their favorite projects and answered audience questions. Participants also received a free booklet produced by iEARN-Pakistan outlining Activities & Lesson Plans for Celebrating United Nations International days and observances with iEARN Projects. Common Core State Standards and iEARN Projects
iEARN teachers Mary Brownell and Deanne McBeath shared how their students' involvement in iEARN projects is making a difference in their communities and in the world. They are creating gardens, raising hens, coordinating school assemblies, raising funds to help a partner school in Kenya, presenting at international conferences, and expanding curriculum in their schools. Mary and Deanne discused how Global Collaboration and iEARN projects can bring real-life experience and meaning to the Common Core State Standards. View recording.

Special Webinar - Live from the Middle East: Classroom Connections Amidst Political Changes
On Wednesday, April 20th, a very special live and interactive event was hosted with educators from Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, and Morocco. We discussed the political changes taking place in the Middle East, the impact of technology on both politics and education, and student-to-student interactions worldwide. This was hosted by Ed Gragert, Executive Director of iEARN-USA, who will be joined by Dalia Khalil Egytian Association of Educational Resources; Hela Nafti iEARN Tunisia, Eliane Metni, iEARN Lebanon and Mourad Bengali, Morrocan Education and Resource Network.
