May 2006 -  The International Education and Resource Network (iEARN-USA) is joining with national exchange organizations to bring global learning and interaction into classrooms throughout the United States. The partnership enables any US teacher who has participated in a partner youth exchange program to engage with classrooms in 115 countries worldwide using online collaborative projects, resources and tools. February 2006 - iEARN-USA and The New Jersey Department of Education to bring global learning and interaction into classrooms in every county in the state. The partnership enables New Jersey teachers to participate in an interactive online professional development course and to engage with classrooms in 115 countries worldwide using online collaborative projects, resources and tools. The grant was awarded by the Longview Foundation to provide professional development to teachers on how to integrate global online project work into their classrooms with schools worldwide. February 2006 - iEARN and the Daniel Pearl Foundation today launched PEARL (Prepare and Educate Aspiring Reporters for Leadership) World Youth News, an international news service with articles written, edited and published by secondary school students from around the world.
