iEARN Spotlight
Kansas School Connects to the World:  This school year, students from Longfellow Middle School, in Hill City, Kansas will engage with their peers around the globe using several iEARN projects.  Seventh and eighth graders are working on the Local History and Kindred Projects as part of the school's "placed-based education" approach to social studies.  Teacher, Scott Parker shared, "In the eighth grade GenYES class, students are working with iEARN’s Kindred Project, an activity that has been integrated into the technology program. In this cross-curricular endeavor, the school’s language arts teacher helped students with their final story... After posting these stories on the Kindred forum, students will be developing web sites with the information they gained from the interview..." Read more of Longfellow's story HERE.
