YouthCaN students Tony (left), from New York City, and Yasmeen (right), a student from Egypt, engaging in an activity focused on water issues that plague Egypt.  Tony is one of the six US students selected to travel to Egypt and participate in the Two Rivers One World Project along with two US teachers.  This project is made possible by funding from the US State Departmentís Bureau of Oceans, and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs, and the US Embassy in Cairo. U.S. and Egyptian high school students are working together on an analysis of the Nile and Hudson Rivers, to be shared at the 10th Anniversary commemoration of the US-Egypt Joint Science and Technology Agreement later next year.  iEARN participants can learn more about this project collaboration here.

Spotlight Stories: Success Stories from iEARNers

This New Year, iEARN-USA is adding a new feature to our monthly newsletter. "Spotlight" will feature success stories from educators, schools and students who engage in iEARN projects, conferences, workshops and other activities or events. This is a great opportunity for iEARNers to share how they integrate online connectivity in their classrooms.

Spotlight is for you and we'd love your support to help sustain it and keep this new feature as fresh as possible.  Again, all are welcome to contribute including teachers,  principals, and of course - students!  We encourage photos of projects, in class activity, or events related to iEARN.  If you're interested and wish to share your iEARN story, please click here for simple guidelines.
