With the help of Soliya, individuals are able to use new media technologies to communicate with others to resolve differences in a cooperative, not confrontational, way. Their Exchange 2.0 Coalition, Connect Program, and Partners Program help students experience a cross-cultural aspect in their education. In 2011 iEARN-USA joined with Global Nomads Group and Soliya to launch the exchange 2.0 consortium as an effort to heighten awareness of the power of technology-enabled virtual exchanges to build global competence. The Coalition has held briefings at the State Department at on Capitol Hill with government officials involved in setting priorities for international exchange programs.
