Tajik Teachers Participate in Photojournalism Workshop

Twenty-nine teachers from seven underserved government schools in Tajikistan participated in a professional development workshop in Dushanbe for the Photojournalism 2.0 Program.

The Program focuses on engaging participants from the Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Tajikistan  in cross-cultural collaboration to help youth develop photojournalism and media skills.

The 3 day workshop from January 24th - 28th, introduced educators to the journalism, photojournalism, digital storytelling for social change, and global collaboration. Trainers included experienced journalists, experts in digital storytelling, and social change agents.Upon completion of the teacher workshops in each country, the same teachers from all three countries will participate in an online course together this spring. 2.0 program.  To view pictures from the workshop, please view the below slideshow.
