Largest YES Cohort Arrives in August

Congratulations to the 2012-213 Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program finalists from Pakistan.
This year, 108 bright students from different parts of Pakistan were selected to participate in one year academic program in the United States. Approximately 41 male and 67 female students will have an opportunity to experience American culture, tradition, society values, and high-school life through engaging in various community services, volunteer and leadership activities. These students will also share their own culture and traditions with their American peers.
The students experienced an in-depth pre-departure orientation in July and are now preparing to depart for the United States in the middle and end of August.
The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program is funded by the U.S. Department of State and sponsored by the Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs (ECA).
