A two year High School Journalism Education Program supported by the Department of State Bureau for Near Eastern Affairs Office of Middle East Partnership Initiatives (MEPI).
iEARN-Oman Educators and Omani Reporters Attend Journalism Training. Northwestern University in Doha, Qatar, June 7-18, 2009.
| iEARN, a leader in multimedia civic education and leadership development in secondary schools in the MEPI region, and its consortium of professional media education partners, will deliver quality journalism training and enhanced high school broadcast and print journalism in Gulf countries. The iEARN consortium supports partnerships between daily newspapers and broadcast media and individual high schools and school districts that use technology to develop interactive high school newspapers in the MENA Region, including Oman and United Arab Emirates.
iEARN is joined by the Academy for Educational Development (AED), Northwestern University in Qatar, the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), the Daniel Pearl Foundation, and leading Gulf newspapers to support high school educators and students with proven journalism, community service and digital video production projects.
