GCE Testimonials
The Testimonial Section is dedicated to personal reflections written by iEARN educators and youth who have participated in the Global Connections & Exchange Program. These contributions highlight first hand experiences and share their story of the positive benefits in using online connectivity, participating in face to face training, or simply engaging in an iEARN project.

February 2006 - Teacher
Attending [ISSA] conference was a teacher's dream come true. I could just feel myself drooling over all those classroom materials and new ideas. And then I couldn't wait to return home and try them in my classes. There were so many professional development opportunities that at times it was difficult to choose what I want to do. It also made me realize something: It was interesting and sad to compare attitudes of teachers back home and here at the conference. But then I could understand the reasons as well. It's at these conferences where teachers are energized to try new things in their classrooms and make them interesting. I wish my government or someone from the private sector could sponsor at least one or two person every year so that they can avail such opportunities. Click HERE to read more...

February 2005
"iEARN gave me an opportunity which was far bigger than anything I could have imagined, writing for a global magazine published in glossed paper distributed all around the world! Suddenly it made me feel important. I was commenting on global politics and debating on social issues and my views were not only given serious consideration but they were published in magazines and reports. I think the whole experience of iEARN has been instrumental in shaping my career and life..." Click here for more.

Reflections on Integrating Collaborative Online Projects into her classroom
"For the first time here in Syria, students know that they can learn more out[side] of the class' four walls.  We did a lot of activities although it was somehoew difficult to make a change. You know, people are always afraid of change, [but] I am thrilled that my students now can use English fluently." Click here for more.
